University Hospitals in Cleveland is seeking a CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant for a PRN position. You will interview patients, educate families on the anesthesia plan, and prepare patients and equipment for the planned anesthetic.

Responsibilities include assisting with induction, maintenance, and emergence, ensuring safe transport post-anesthesia, and contributing to airway management as part of the resuscitation team. A nursing education background and Ohio credentials are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio or multi-state compact required.
• CRNA license in Ohio required.
• Graduate nursing education recognized by state accrediting body.

Responsabilités

• Interview patient and review essential data to verify patient readiness for anesthetic.
• Assist in education of patient and family regarding the anesthetic plan and risks.
• Prepare patient by starting appropriate access lines and initiating therapies preoperatively.
• Prepare equipment and drugs needed to perform the planned anesthetic.
• Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence phases per guidelines.
• Ensure safe transport to post-operative area and smooth transition of care.
• Establish and secure adequate ventilation, including intubation as part of the resuscitation team.

Formation

Graduate of a school of professional Nursing required

Graduate of a school of Anesthesia approved by AANA required
