Job summary

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services in Charleston, SC seeks a PRN pathologist to provide coverage at Trident Medical Center. Coverage includes surgical pathology and cytology with clinical pathology tasks such as peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.

Applicants should hold AP/CP certification or be board eligible and possess an active South Carolina medical license or the ability to obtain one. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• AP/CP certification or board eligibility.
• Active South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain.
• Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wide range of surgical pathology specimens.
• Cytology cases primarily consist of non-GYN, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s.
• Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
