Job summary

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services provides floating coverage at hospitals in the North Central Florida market. The PRN pathologist will handle a wide range of surgical pathology specimens with cytology cases including thyroid and lung FNAs and clinical pathology tasks as needed.

Applicants should hold AP/CP certification or be board eligible, have an active Florida medical license or be able to obtain one, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide floating pathology coverage at hospitals in the North Central Florida market.
• Evaluate wide range of surgical pathology specimens.
• Cytology cases include non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA, and lung FNA; clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
