PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with subspecialty training or strong Cytopathology experience to join our cytopathology‑focused team in Greenville, South Carolina. The role is full-time with a required general surgical pathology component in a large, subspecialty‑supported practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Cytopathology sign-out for gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens.
• General surgical pathology sign-out as part of routine responsibilities.
• Participate in ROSE, EBUS coverage, and frozen section services.
• Engage in tumor boards and interdisciplinary clinical discussions.
• Support CAP compliance and lab quality assurance.

Job Description

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with subspecialty training or strong experience in Cytopathology to join our high-volume, collaborative pathology team in Greenville, South Carolina. This full-time role offers a strong emphasis on cytopathology while maintaining a required general surgical pathology component within a large, subspecialty-supported practice environment.

There is an opportunity to take on increased responsibility within cytopathology over time, including potential future leadership duties.

• Primary focus on cytopathology cases (gynecologic and non-gynecologic)

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Cytopathology preferred
• Eligible for South Carolina medical license
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and teamwork skillsPositive, collaborative attitude with a strong work ethic and initiative
