Job summary

Phase2 Technology is seeking a PRN Pre/Post Registered Nurse (RN) for an ambulatory surgery center in Austin, TX. The RN will prepare patients for surgery, monitor recovery from anesthesia, and coordinate perioperative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The role requires a Texas RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and at least two years in pre- or post-op settings. The schedule is 8 hours per week with flexible days, and compensation starts at $47.30 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery: assess physical and emotional needs, record vitals, initiate IVs and pre-operative meds.
Monitor post-anesthesia recovery: observe anesthesia effects, record vitals, assess consciousness and comfort.
Administer medications and treatments: pain meds, wound care, post-op management.
Coordinate patient care: communicate with surgeons/anesthesiologists, manage admissions/discharges, give handovers.
Educate patients and families: provide perioperative instructions, answer questions, offer reassurance.
