Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care Rehab Team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This PRN, day shift position requires working at least three shifts per month and participating in weekend/holiday rotations in an adult acute care setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of acute care experience, with Modified Barium Swallow Studies preferred. Requires Master of Science or Master of Arts, licensed SLP, ASHA CCC, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligible).
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.
• Provides extensive patient/family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team care with rehab, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, and support staff.
• Maintains detailed documentation in the EMR and demonstrates strong time management and communication skills.
