Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care Rehab Team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This PRN, day shift position requires working at least three shifts per month and participating in weekend/holiday rotations in an adult acute care setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of acute care experience, with Modified Barium Swallow Studies preferred. Requires Master of Science or Master of Arts, licensed SLP, ASHA CCC, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligible).
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.
• Provides extensive patient/family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team care with rehab, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, and support staff.
• Maintains detailed documentation in the EMR and demonstrates strong time management and communication skills.

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL. This position opportunity is set to work a PRN, day shift schedule at our Baptist South campus in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. This position is expected to work at least three shifts per month and participate in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations. This is a PRN opportunity working in an adult acute care setting.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting.

Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care Rehab, Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.
• Provides extensive patient/family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc.
• Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.

Experience Requirements:

• 1 or more years Experience working in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies strongly Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Master of Science Or Master of Arts Required
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Required
