Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a High Net Worth Tax Principal to lead our private wealth practice and serve as a strategic advisor to wealthy individuals, family offices and their businesses. You will mentor staff, manage engagements, and develop client relationships while delivering sophisticated income, estate, gift, and trust tax planning and succession strategies.

This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership, and a track record of expanding client portfolios through trusted advisory

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in accounting or law.
CPA or JD is required.
Experience as a leader in a public accounting firm in the Tax space.
10+ years of tax planning and consulting for wealthy individuals, family offices and private businesses.
6+ years of supervisory experience and mentoring.
Ability to lead and supervise others and deliver exceptional client service.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Manage multiple engagements with proactive tax planning and advisory services.
Advise on business succession planning and wealth transfer strategies.
Develop and maintain client relationships to grow revenue and new opportunities.
Support staff development and firm-wide learning initiatives.
Foster a culture of high-quality work and ethical practice.
