Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Tax Manager with our Private Wealth/PCS team in NorCal. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices, partnering with firm leadership to grow the client base.

You will mentor staff, leverage your experience to develop technical skills, and help shape client solutions while enjoying flexibility in how you work with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required
• Master's or advanced degree preferred
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required
• Five (5) years of tax compliance/ advisory experience in a professional services firm
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience mentoring/counseling
• Experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services preferred
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead and supervise others and maintain high-quality client service
• Strong Microsoft Suite skills
• U.S. work authorization preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals and families
• Prepare complex tax returns (individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift)
• Provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting
• Keep up-to-date with tax authorities and apply to complex situations
• Mentor staff and participate in firm-wide learning programs
• Build relationships with clients and cross-team collaboration
• Support engagement teams' professional growth
