Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate for the Private Secondaries Group to manage complex secondary transactions and liquidity events. You will coordinate across deal teams, operations, legal, and technology to drive smooth execution from launch through closing.

In this role you will help design processes, optimize workflows, and contribute to scaling the PSG platform. Candidates should have 3+ years in financial services, strong communication, and a track record of handling transaction-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong preference for operations, transaction management, middle office, or deal execution roles within wealth/asset management or private investing.
• Proven track record of managing complex operational workflows, deal closings, or settlement processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to act as a bridge between deal teams and support teams.
• Strong project management skills with an efficiency-focused mindset and the ability to balance complex timelines.
• High attention to detail, strong risk awareness, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
• Self-starter who can work independently while maintaining strong collaborative ties across global functions.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Execution: Support the execution and closing of secondary transactions, including quarterly auctions, LP-led sales, GP-led liquidity events, and platform transactions.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner across Deal Teams, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Technology to facilitate seamless transaction execution and issue resolution.
• Process Enhancement: Help design and improve workflows, controls, and operating procedures to increase efficiency, mitigate risk, and support business growth.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal teams, fund managers, custodians, transfer agents, and other external partners throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: Support adherence to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and risk management standards across all transactions.
• Platform Scaling: Partner with senior leadership, Technology, and external vendors to enhance the infrastructure and operating model supporting the PSG platform.
• Strategic Initiatives: Drive execution of key business and platform initiatives that support scalability, operational excellence, and client experience.
• Automation & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and technology-enabled solutions to improve execution and support growth.
• Business Management Support: Assist senior leadership in evaluating new processes, capabilities, and strategic opportunities to help shape the continued evolution of the Private Secondary Group.
