Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate for the Private Secondaries Group to execute and manage complex secondary transactions and asset liquidity events across the PSG platform. You will coordinate with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Technology to ensure smooth launch through closing.

The role requires strong collaboration, process optimization, and a proactive approach to scaling the platform for growth and innovation within a global wealth management context.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher.
• 3+ years in financial services, with operations, transaction management, middle office, or deal execution focus.
• Proven track record managing complex workflows, closings, or settlement processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong project management and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and risk awareness in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently across global functions.

Responsibilities

• Deal Execution & Business Operations: support execution and closing of secondary transactions.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: partner across deal teams, operations, legal, compliance and tech.
• Process Enhancement: redesign workflows to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Stakeholder Management: coordinate with fund managers, custodians and external partners.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: assist in regulatory adherence and risk standards.
• Platform Scaling: collaborate to enhance infrastructure and operating model for PSG.
• Strategic Initiatives: drive initiatives for scalability and client experience.
• Automation & Innovation: identify automation opportunities to improve execution.
