We are seeking a experienced professional to join our Private Housing Service in this newly created role. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the largest Private Housing Services in the country, helping to improve housing conditions and support tenants, leaseholders, landlords and agents through advice, partnership working and enforcement. Working closely with Avon Fire & Rescue Service and the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, you will lead a team responsible for accelerating the remediation of high and mid-rise privately owned residential buildings across Bristol, with opportunities to support wider remediation work across the West of England. Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of private housing, construction and fire safety.
• Strong understanding of legislation relating to the assessment and improvement of residential properties.
• Significant enforcement experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
