The successful candidate will oversee compliance across the core areas of building safety, including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and lifts. You will review current performance and data, tackle any backlogs or gaps, and make sure that safety checks, remedial works and record keeping are managed to a high standard. • Monitor safety checks, certificates and remedial works to make sure they are completed on time and recorded accurately
  • Oversee contractor performance, including contract management, quality assurance and escalation of issues
  • Produce regular compliance reports for senior management, the executive team and the board
  • Make sure compliance data held in housing and asset management systems is accurate and up to date
  • Manage access procedures and work with housing teams to address no-access cases
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory engagement, and respond to findings
  • Review and update compliance policies, procedures and risk registers
  • Lead, support and guide compliance staff, and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Prepare a clear handover at the end of the assignment
