Stone Coast Fund Services, based in Portland, ME, is seeking a Hedge Fund and Private Equity Accountant to join our Fund Accounting team. The role focuses on NAV preparation for Private Equity funds, portfolio valuations, and investor reporting.

Hybrid work is available with in-office days in Maine and remote options for select states. Ideal candidates have PE fund experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Advent Geneva or WorldInvestora.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or Economics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, filtering).
• Experience with portfolio/investor accounting systems, e.g. Advent Geneva, World Investora or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with internal controls.

Responsabilités

• Prepare daily/monthly/quarterly NAV for Private Equity Funds and select hedge funds.
• Process fund events: capital calls, distributions and closes.
• Calculate carried interest and waterfall structures.
• Allocate profit/loss and compute management/performance fees for funds and investors.
• Prepare Private Equity-specific financial statements and regulatory materials.
• Review fund documents and impacts across fund lifecycles.
• Process fund expense payments and ensure timely wire requests.
• Generate and deliver fund/investor reports to managers and investors.
