Qualifications

• 7+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably with Private Equity funds.
• Experience at a Private Equity manager, alternative investment firm, or fund administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Private Equity fund structures and partnership accounting.
• Advanced experience preparing and reviewing waterfall calculations.
• Strong experience with investor allocations, capital calls, distributions, and carried interest.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and investor reporting under US GAAP.
• Ability to interpret LPAs and partnership agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and administration of multiple Private Equity funds.
• Review NAVs, investment activity, accruals, financial statements, and allocations.
• Prepare and review complex waterfall calculations, including carried interest.
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, and partnership activity.
• Review fund governing documents and LPAs to ensure accurate calculations.
• Oversee quarterly and annual financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Serve as senior client contact for auditors, attorneys, banks, and others.
• Lead, manage, and mentor fund accounting professionals across levels.
• Review deliverables and provide final sign-off before senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
