Atlantic Group is seeking a Private Equity Controller in New York, NY to lead fund accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls within an alternative investment environment. You will oversee the financial close, manage accounting operations, and support investment activity while pairing with senior leadership on key finance initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of fund accounting experience in private equity, CPA certification, and strong Excel and GL systems skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of fund accounting experience within a private equity investment firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
• Active CPA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting: Oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and related accounting activities across investment funds and entities.
• Accounting Operations: Manage accounting operations, financial close processes, expenses, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Investment Accounting: Support investment accounting and valuation-related activities while maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
• Financial Controls: Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and processes that support accurate and efficient financial operations.
• Audit & Reporting: Coordinate annual audits, financial reporting, and other recurring accounting deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, senior leadership, and external service providers on accounting and finance initiatives.
