Job summary

Oliver James is partnering with a technology-led fund administration platform to hire a Private Equity Director. You will blend technical fund accounting with client leadership, team development and process improvement across complex closed-end structures.

In this role you will lead a PE fund accounting team, oversee NAVs, capital calls and distributions, and drive efficiencies and client satisfaction through strong governance and modern technology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of private equity or alternative fund accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of NAVs, allocations, waterfalls and financial reporting.
• Experience managing clients and developing accounting teams.
• Strong systems, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Investran experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day private equity fund accounting operations.
• Overseeing NAV calculations, financial statements, capital calls and distributions.
• Reviewing fee calculations, P&L allocations and performance reporting.
• Managing complex waterfall models.
• Senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Developing client teams of up to 10 staff.
• Resolving complex accounting inquiries escalated by juniors.
• Leading fund audits and ensuring timely completion.
• Managing new client onboarding and fund transitions.
• Improving workflows, controls and procedures.
• Supporting recruitment, training and performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of a private equity fund accounting team

• Reviewing fee calculations, profit and loss allocations and performance reporting
• Managing the creation and maintenance of complex waterfall models
• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
• Managing and developing client teams of up to 10 employees
• Resolving complex accounting enquiries escalated by junior team members
• Leading fund audits and ensuring their timely completion
• Managing new client onboarding and fund transitions
• Improving workflows, procedures and operational controls
