Job summary

Oliver James Associates Ltd. is seeking a Private Equity Director to lead a fund accounting team and drive high-impact client leadership.

You will oversee NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, and complex waterfall models while developing accounting teams and improving processes across closed-end fund structures. The role blends technical accounting with client management, delivering timely reporting, audits, onboarding, and performance improvements within a technology-driven platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years of private equity or alternative fund accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of NAVs, allocations, waterfalls and financial reporting.
• Experience managing clients and developing accounting teams.
• Strong systems, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Investran experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a private equity fund accounting team.

• Review fee calculations, P&L allocations and performance reporting.
• Manage the creation and maintenance of complex waterfall models.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and develop client teams of up to 10 employees.
• Resolve complex accounting enquiries escalated by junior team members.
• Lead fund audits and ensure timely completion.
• Manage new client onboarding and fund transitions.
• Improve workflows, procedures and operational controls.
• Support recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
