Sheppard Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global AmLaw 50 firm, seeks a corporate mid-level associate with 4–6 years of private equity experience to join its nationwide private equity team in Century City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., or New York.

We train our associates and offer early exposure to clients. This is an energetic, collaborative team where you will draft agreements, negotiate terms, and manage closings while handling multiple transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with private equity transactions is required.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Bar admission in the state where the office is located or reciprocity with another state.

Responsibilities

• Draft transaction agreements and documents with efficiency and clarity.
• Negotiate deal terms alongside clients and supervising attorneys.
• Manage transaction closings and processes.
• Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis.
• Communicate with clients and supervising attorneys professionally.
• Work with and oversee more junior team members.
