Permanent Placements LLC is assisting a premier Chicago law firm client in hiring a mid-level associate for its Private Equity practice. The role focuses on sponsor-side transactions and broader corporate deals, with opportunities to contribute on sophisticated matters.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of corporate transactional experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to take on a second-chair role in leveraged transactions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of corporate transactional experience at a law firm.
• Experience representing private equity sponsors and portfolio companies in acquisitions, dispositions, investments.
• Exposure to leveraged transactions, including mezzanine debt financings, with the ability to act in a second-chair role on transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and deal management skills.
• Experience with SBIC funds is a plus but not required.
