Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago seeks a Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join the MBD Department supporting the Private Equity/M&A practice. You will collaborate with attorneys to deliver client-facing materials, conduct market research, and maintain critical BD data and systems.

Success in this role requires proactive service, strong business judgement, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service while working with an international team on growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide Pitch, Proposal & Presentation support for client-facing materials including RFP responses and formatting.
• Conduct Research & Market Intelligence using Bloomberg, CapIQ, Mergermarket and PitchBook to inform decision-making.
• Analyze data and prepare reporting on client relationships, market activity, matters and BD efforts.
• Maintain accurate, updated and reusable BD content for practices, industries, attorneys and representative matters.
• Support Experience & Deal Tracking by reviewing and submitting transaction data to external ranking providers.
• Maintain CRM & Marketing Systems data, update contacts, and ensure data integrity.
• Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication.
• Organize and execute tasks with attention to detail and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Research & analytical thinking to communicate transaction, client and market information clearly.
• Writing & attention to detail for content development and editing.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with teams across the firm.
• Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and initiative in a high-profile environment.
• Adapt to changing business needs and learn new technologies quickly.
• Leverage knowledge of private equity, M&A and market intelligence platforms.
