Job summary

Second Alpha Partners is seeking a Private Equity Analyst based in Manhattan to join the Investment Team and work on prospective and ongoing investments. The role involves close collaboration with senior management and portfolio company leaders in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate has a background in finance or tech-enabled services, strong analytical and writing skills, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and writing skills with initiative and attention to detail.
• Background in investment banking, consulting, asset management or similar fields preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort with AI-enabled tools.
• Experience building financial operating models including LBOs and DCFs.
• United States citizenship and ability to work in Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Manage deal sourcing using AI-enabled systems and tools.
• Prepare investment memos, financial models and valuations.
• Support evaluation, structuring, negotiation and monitoring of investments.
• Contribute to process improvements in sourcing, evaluation, and execution of investments.
• Perform sector research to support sourcing, due diligence and fundraising activities.
• Prepare fundraising and investor relations documents leveraging AI workflows.
