Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking skilled Private Duty Nurses (RN or LPN) to provide one-on-one care to an adult client in the home in the St.Peter/Mankato, MN area. You will deliver individualized nursing care in a home setting, following the client care plan and medical orders to support medically fragile clients and their families.

The role offers overnights with full or part-time hours. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold MN RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per state Nurse Practice Act.
• Follow orders and care plans, document changes in medical records.
• Medication administration, client teaching, and emergency intervention.
• Tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and other pediatric services as needed.
• Collaborate with the client’s care team and promote safety.
• Comply with agency policies, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate care and attend agency meetings as requested.
• Perform additional duties as required.

About the Role & Company:

First Day Homecare is a leading homecare provider with locations across the US, specializing in pediatric and adult Private Duty Nursing services and other home and community-based care. We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurses (RN) to provide one-on-one care to an adult client in their home in the St.Peter/Mankato, MN area. As a Private Duty Nurse, you'll deliver individualized nursing care in a home setting, helping medically fragile patients thrive in their daily lives while offering critical support to their families.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours:

• OVERNIGHTS, Full or Part-time hours available

Pay:

• RN: $38-$42

Responsibilities:

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

About You:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
