First Day Homecare is seeking Private Duty Nurses (RN/LPN) to provide one-on-one pediatric home nursing in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area. You will deliver individualized nursing care in the home, including tracheostomy care and ventilator management, with specialized training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current MN RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Delivers care per physician orders and client care plan.
• Maintains orders and documents changes in medical records.
• Performs pediatric services including tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
• Works collaboratively with the client care team.
• Promotes safety for clients and coworkers.
• Complies with agency policies and standards.
• Participates in care coordination and agency meetings.
• Performs other related duties as needed.

First Day Homecare® is a leading homecare provider with locations across the US, specializing in pediatric Private Duty Nursing services and other home and community-based care. We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurses (RN/LPN) to provide one-on-one care to pediatric clients in their homes in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area. As a Private Duty Nurse, you’ll deliver individualized nursing care in a home setting, helping medically fragile children thrive in their daily lives while offering critical support to their families. This role is a great fit for an RN or LPN with tracheostomy care and ventilator management experience—or a compassionate nurse who is eager to learn. Schedule / Expected Work Hours:

• OVERNIGHTS, Full or Part-time hours available: 7p-7a or 9p-7a; Weekdays and Every Other Weekend

Pay:

• LPN: $28-$31
• RN: $38-$42

Responsibilities:

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

About You:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
