Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for pediatric private duty care. You will provide hands-on nursing services under medical orders, including medications, care plans, and vital assessments at the client's home.

This role requires RN licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with auto insurance. Expect 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, 7 days a week, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on family-centered care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Administers medications and follows client care plans.
• Documents changes in orders in the medical record per agency procedures.
• Performs pediatric clinical tasks including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Collaborates with the client’s care team and promotes a safe environment.
• Adheres to agency policies and participates in care coordination.

• Pediatric aged client, affecting a nurse for 7a-7p and 7p-7a , 7 days a week

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
