Job summary

First Day Homecare - Savannah, GA is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for pediatric homecare. You will provide clinical nursing services under physician orders, document changes, and monitor client plans.

Responsibilities include medication administration, client teaching, and coordination with the care team to ensure safe, compliant care in the home setting. Requires active GA RN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state requirements.

• Performs duties in compliance with agency policies and standards.
• Participates in care coordination and agency meetings.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours:

• 3 days a week, Monday through Friday, 7hr shifts between the hours of 8am - 4pm. Days of the week and 7hr window can be agreed upon with the family.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor
Provides Supervision To: NA - No supervision responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
