Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a licensed RN to provide skilled pediatric nursing for an infant in Holly, Michigan. You will perform nursing tasks under physician orders, follow the client’s care plan, and document care in the medical record.

The role requires current RN license in Michigan, CPR, and a driver’s license. Benefits include flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid sick time, 401(k), and 1:1 care. Shifts are 7pm–7am, seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in the state of operation (Michigan).
• CPR certification current and in good standing.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Adheres to physician orders and client care plan.
• Documents changes in orders in the medical record.
• Manages personal care, monitoring, reporting, and teaching as part of pediatric care.
• Collaborates with the care team and ensures safety.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours:

• Infant aged client in Holly needing a nurse from 7p-7a , 7 days a week

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
