Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a qualified LPN to provide skilled nursing care for an infant client in Holly, MI, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days a week. Care is delivered under physician orders and within state Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

The role requires an active LPN license in Michigan, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. The caregiver will document changes, work with the care team, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Follows orders and client care plan; documents changes in the medical record.
• Manages personal care, monitoring, reporting findings, and medication administration.
• Handles pediatric services including tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
• Collaborates with the client’s care team and promotes safety in the work environment.
• Ensures compliance with agency policies, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinates care and participates in agency meetings as requested.

• Infant aged client in Holly needing a nurse from 7p-7a, 7 days a week

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and

within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
