Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a skilled LPN to provide pediatric private duty nursing in the Fenton, MI area. You will deliver nursing care under physician orders, follow care plans, and document changes in medical records.

This role emphasizes patient safety, collaboration with the care team, and compliance with applicable standards. Qualified candidates are licensed in Michigan, hold CPR certification, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with physician orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and pediatric services (e.g., tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings).
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and payor/accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Infant aged client needing a nurse on Mondays and Wednesdays (8a-3p), Friday and Saturdays (12p-8p) and Nights 8p-8a or 9p-8a (Fenton)

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.
