Homestead Health Care is hiring Private Duty caregivers in the Ypsilanti, MI area. We offer 4 to 12-hour flexible shifts and starting pay of $18.00 per hour. Join our team to provide physical and emotional support to elderly clients in their homes, shaping connections that improve daily life.

Our current client requires evening hours from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. We value reliability, compassionate care, and teamwork, with training, referrals, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience passing medications.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid Driver License/Insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Travel max of 25 miles.
• Weekend Availability.

Responsabilités

• Use transfer assistive devices (Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand, gait belts, slide board).
• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, walking).
• Evaluate health changes and communicate with the healthcare team as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform light housekeeping.
• Use and clean devices (catheters, colostomy bags, oxygen).
• Assess changes and report to supervisor promptly.
• Develop meaningful life enrichment activities.
• Follow schedule and assist with repositioning.
• Transport client to appointments or shopping.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship.
• Follow Homestead policies and procedures.

• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship for the client
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures
