Homestead Health Care in Livonia, MI, is hiring Private Duty caregivers to support elderly clients in their homes. We offer 4 to 12-hour flexible shifts and start pay at $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience passing medications.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/insurance.

Responsabilités

• Use transfer assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and gait belts.
• Assist residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Evaluate changes in health and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and meaningful life enrichment activities.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for clients.
• Transport clients to appointments or errands.
• Complete required documents and charting.
• Follow Homestead policies and procedures.
• Assist with transfers in and out of bed.

Our current client is looking for assistance AM short 4 hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Use of transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit to stand, gait belts and slide board
• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and walking
• Evaluate changes in client's health, conferring with other healthcare team members as needed
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Use and cleaning of devices such as catheters, colostomy bags and oxygen supplies
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Transport client to doctors' appointments or shopping
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship for the client
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Experience passing medications
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Valid Driver License/Insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Travel Max of 25miles
• Weekend Availability
