Homestead Health Care in Clinton Township, MI is hiring Private Duty caregivers to support elderly clients in the surrounding area. You will provide physical and emotional assistance, forming connections and ensuring comfort during shifts that range from 4 to 12 hours.

We offer pay starting at $18.00, flexible evening hours (630pm-1030pm), paid training, and opportunities for growth. A minimum of 2 years’ caregiving experience and reliable transportation are required.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience passing medications.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsabilidades

• Use transfer assistive devices (Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand, gait belts, slide board).
• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, walking).
• Evaluate changes in client health and inform supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping.
• Use and clean devices (catheters, colostomy bags, oxygen).
• Plan and provide meaningful life enrichment activities.
• Follow schedule and assist with repositioning.
• Transport client to appointments/shopping.
• Complete documents and charting.
• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship.

Responsibilities

• Use of transfer assistive devices, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, sit to stand, gait belts and slide board
• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and walking
• Evaluate changes in client’s health, conferring with other healthcare team members as needed
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Use and cleaning of devices such as catheters, colostomy bags and oxygen supplies
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Transport client to doctors’ appointments or shopping
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship for the client
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Experience passing medications
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Valid Driver License/Insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Travel Max of 25miles
• Weekend Availability
