Homestead Health Care is hiring for Private Duty caregivers in the Novi, MI area. We offer flexible shifts from 4 to 12 hours, starting at $17.00 per hour. If you have experience visiting clients' homes, we want to hear from you!

Current shift available: 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Serious applicants who love caring for the elderly are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Use of transfer assistive devices (e.g., Hoyer lifts, gait belts)
• Assist with daily activities: transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, walking
• Evaluate health changes and communicate with healthcare team
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping
• Use and clean medical devices (catheters, oxygen, etc.)
• Assess condition changes and report immediately
• Develop life enrichment activities
• Assist with repositioning and schedule adherence
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping
• Complete documentation and charting
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship
• Follow all policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years caregiving experience
• Experience passing medications
• Pass criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation within 25 miles
• Weekend availability
