Join Our Team as a Private Duty Caregiver at Homestead Healthcare

Homestead Healthcare, ranked as a TOP WORKPLACE by The Detroit Free Press, is hiring dedicated Private Duty Caregivers in the Auburn Hills, MI area. We offer flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, starting at $17.00 per hour.

Current available shift: 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Serious applicants only, please apply!

Responsibilities

• Use of transfer assistive devices (Hoyer lifts, gait belts, slide boards)
• Assist with daily activities: transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, walking
• Monitor and report changes in client health
• Maintain a clean environment, including light housekeeping
• Use and clean medical devices (catheters, colostomy bags, oxygen supplies)
• Assess client condition and communicate with the team
• Develop and facilitate life enrichment activities
• Assist with repositioning and schedule adherence
• Transport clients to appointments or shopping
• Complete documentation and charting
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide companionship
• Follow all policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Experience passing medications
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Valid Driver’s License and Insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation with a travel radius of up to 25 miles
• Weekend availability
