Homestead Health Care is hiring for Private Duty caregivers in the Bloomfield Hills, MI area. We offer flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, starting at $17.00 per hour.

About the Role

As a caregiver, you will support elderly clients with physical and emotional assistance, building genuine connections and improving their quality of life. Responsibilities include:

1. Using transfer assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and slide boards.
2. Assisting with daily activities like bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
3. Evaluating health changes and communicating with healthcare team.
4. Maintaining a clean environment and handling medical devices.
5. Developing engaging life enrichment activities.
6. Transporting clients to appointments and shopping.
7. Completing documentation and charting.
8. Preparing nutritious meals and providing companionship.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience with medication passing.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation with travel up to 25 miles.
• Weekend availability.
