Russell Tobin is seeking an Analyst for the Fixed Income Direct Lender Financing Asset Approval Team in New York. The role involves underwriting private credit loans backed by asset-based lending facilities and coordinating with Structuring, Legal, Risk, and clients through the transaction lifecycle.

You will monitor portfolio performance, conduct credit research, and support ongoing credit decisions, with opportunities to contribute to AI-driven workflow improvements and expand research

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze corporate financial statements and assess credit risk.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Experience in valuation advisory, leveraged finance, corporate credit analysis, or private credit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite private credit loans pledged as collateral in asset-based lending facilities.
• Review financial statements, credit documentation, and borrower reporting to assess collateral quality.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify credit events affecting valuations and borrowing base eligibility.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding asset approvals and reporting.
• Conduct single-name credit research and contribute to sector and manager-level analysis.
