Job summary

Mission Staffing seeks a motivated investment professional to analyze opportunities across sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, growth financings, and opportunistic credit.

You will build three-statement operating models, debt sizing, LBOs, and downside analyses; perform due diligence; prepare memoranda for investment committees; and mentor junior analysts as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of investment banking, leveraged finance, restructuring, private credit, or direct lending experience.
• Strong financial modeling and accounting skills.
• Experience analyzing leveraged capital structures and credit documentation.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear investment recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.

Responsibilities

• Analyze investment opportunities across sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, growth financings, and opportunistic credit situations.
• Build and maintain detailed three-statement operating models, debt sizing models, LBO models, and downside case analyses.
• Business and industry analysis

• Conduct due diligence alongside management teams, private equity sponsors, lenders, consultants, and legal advisors.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and present recommendations to senior investment professionals.
• Negotiate loan documentation, covenants, pricing, and transaction terms with borrowers and external counsel.
• Coordinate transaction execution with investment banks, sponsors, lawyers, and other financing parties.
• Monitor existing portfolio companies by reviewing financial performance, compliance certificates, amendments, and refinancing opportunities.
• Support portfolio valuations and quarterly reporting.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
