Job summary

The Dominion Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, part of Heritage Golf Group, seeks an experienced General Manager to lead all club operations, drive financial performance, and deliver an exceptional member experience. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong people management, and a passion for service excellence.

You will develop and mentor department leaders, maintain rigorous budgets, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across departments to elevate the club's standards

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in private clubs, golf clubs, resorts, or service-driven environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑department teams and manage budgets, forecasting, labor, and results.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience engaging with members and developing department leaders to maintain exceptional service.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all Club operations and department heads.
• Build and retain a high-performing management team and a positive culture.
• Maintain a highly visible presence with members and staff.
• Ensure a consistent, exceptional member experience across all club areas.
• Seek member feedback to improve engagement and retention.
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
• Monitor financial performance, labor, expenses, revenue, and results.
• Collaborate with department leaders to improve operations.
• Coach and develop department leaders with clear expectations.
• Promote communication and collaboration across departments.
• Oversee maintenance of Club facilities and amenities.
• Partner with Heritage Golf Group on strategic initiatives and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with club policies and safety standards.
