Job summary

Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Cook I to join our acclaimed Culinary Team. You’ll prepare and present dishes from a scratch menu focused on fresh, local ingredients for a restaurant and banquet events, under our leadership.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a full‑service restaurant, with upscale background and a culinary school or apprenticeship preferred; strong teamwork or attitude fit is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of culinary experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
• Upscale restaurant experience is a plus.
• Graduate of an apprenticeship program or culinary school preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items following recipes and portion controls.
• Receive, store and label deliveries to prevent spoilage.
• Set up stations with mise en place and pars.
• Assist with inventory and ordering.
• Ensure work adheres to health, safety and ServSafe standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
