Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking a Private Client Tax Managing Director to lead sophisticated tax compliance, consulting, and planning for individuals, families, and trusts. You will serve as a trusted advisor, support client development, and guide engagement teams across wealth-focused matters.

You will drive tax research, strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration with wealth planners and innovation teams to deliver unmatched client experiences for ultra-high net worth clients.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services for individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
• Develop and manage client relationships as part of the proposal process.
• Participate in networking to expand opportunities and client base.
• Maintain deep understanding of client business/family structures to address concerns.
• Coach and develop tax staff and review work of associates and seniors.
• Oversee projects and delegate tasks within engagement teams.
• Utilize technology to improve work processes and deliverables.
• Research complex tax issues and communicate findings clearly in writing.

Education

Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

CPA license

J.D. degree and bar admission

Experience managing multiple client engagements
