Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is hiring a Managing Director of Private Client Tax in Nashville and other US locations. The role leads tax compliance, planning, and advisory work for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, including trusts and estates, with involvement in client development and team leadership.

The position requires extensive experience in private client taxation, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while leveraging technology to optimize tax strategies

Qualifications

• 11+ years of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department.
• Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA license or J.D. degree and bar admission.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
• Develop, build, and manage client relationships as part of the proposal process.
• Participate in networking to expand business opportunities and client relationships.
• Maintain functional expertise and understanding of a client’s business or family structure to address concerns.
• Assist with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff.
• Review and manage projects prepared by tax associates and seniors.
• Delegate responsibilities and monitor engagement teams' efforts.
• Utilize technology tools to improve work processes.
• Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings in writing.
