Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Managing Director for Private Client Services to lead engagements, advise high net‑worth clients, review complex returns, and develop strategic tax planning. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to firm growth while upholding the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities include leading engagements, presenting to clients, supervising staff, and expanding the PCS practice with innovative tax solutions.

Qualifications

Ten (10) or more years in accounting, finance, or law.
Expertise in private client service area.
Supervisory experience required.
Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Leads tax and consulting engagements and mentors the team.
Acts as primary client contact for preparation and resolution.
Reviews complex returns (individual, trust, estate, S‑Corp, foundation, partnership, gifts).
Directs communications with government agencies for complex matters.
Conducts advanced tax research and develops recommendations.
Expands knowledge through client engagements and developments.
Prioritizes work to keep engagements on track.
Supports PCS/firm contributions including billing and training.
Builds relationships with clients and external sources.
Develops new ideas to improve client and firm position.
