Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to lead a dedicated team of tax professionals delivering compliance, consulting, and planning services for individuals, trusts, and closely held businesses.

You will drive strategic tax planning, manage high-stakes client relationships, and contribute to growth of Aprio's private client practice in a dynamic regulatory environment. Mentoring and development of team members will be a key focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in individual tax, trusts, and small business returns in public accounting.
• CPA or EA designation preferred; Master's in Taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex individual tax returns (1040), trust returns (1041), and business returns (1065/1120S) for accuracy.
• Lead tax planning engagements for individuals and small business owners.
• Manage multiple client relationships, deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Mentor staff, provide technical guidance and feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on integrated solutions.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities with existing clients.
