Aprio is seeking a Senior Tax Manager, Private Client to lead sophisticated tax compliance and advisory engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, partnerships, and related entities.

The role serves as the primary client relationship owner, delivering precise planning and compliance while guiding engagement quality and profitability. Collaborative leadership and strategic growth are central to the position.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
• CPA license is required; JD/LLM in Taxation or Enrolled Agent may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance and planning.
• Proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead sophisticated tax compliance and advisory engagements for high-net-worth clients.
• Review complex tax returns, workpapers, and estimates with attention to accuracy.
• Research tax laws and prepare memoranda for clients and teams.
• Provide proactive tax planning to manage obligations and opportunities.
• Serve as primary client contact and drive engagement profitability.
• Manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and billing for engagements.
• Mentor tax associates and collaborate with partners on strategy.
• Support tax notices, examinations, and communications with authorities.
