Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Five or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law
• Public accounting or private client services experience preferred
• CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent credential required

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Gathers information from clients to prepare tax returns
• Reviews returns for various entities and provides feedback to staff
• Directs communication with government agencies on complex matters
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations for leadership
• Expands tax knowledge through client engagements and developments
• Prioritizes and completes tasks individually and with the team
• Supports billing, recruiting, and training activities
• Develops relationships with BDO professionals and external sources
