SmartBank in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Private Client Specialist to support the Private Banking team with high-touch, personalized service and efficient account operations. You will partner with Private Bankers to manage client relationships, assist with banking requests, loan processing, account openings, and documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy.

• College degree preferred.
• Two or more years of banking, lending, client service, or related experience.
• Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Private Bankers and clients as a primary resource.
• Assist with banking requests, product support, and account servicing.
• Serve as contact for clients when their Private Banker is unavailable.
• Process loan applications, renewals, modifications, and required docs.
• Coordinate with retail and operations for account openings.
• Review loan and deposit documents for accuracy.
• Verify client information to support regulatory requirements.
• Support Treasury Management, eBanking, and other service requests.
• Assist clients with online and mobile banking platforms.
• Monitor portfolio activity, documentation, and credit monitoring support.
• Maintain department records, invoicing, and team resources.
• Participate in community outreach and business development.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and procedures.

What You’ll Do

As a Private Client Specialist, you will partner closely with an assigned group of Private Bankers to support client relationships and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serve as a primary support resource for Private Bankers and their clients.
• Deliver outstanding service by assisting clients with banking requests, product support, and account servicing needs.
• Act as a point of contact for clients when their Private Banker is unavailable.
• Assist with loan application processing, renewals, modifications, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with retail and operational teams to facilitate account openings and ongoing account maintenance.
• Review loan and deposit documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collect and verify required client information to support regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Support Treasury Management, eBanking, and other service requests.
• Assist clients with online and mobile banking platforms.
• Monitor portfolio activity through reporting, exception management, document collection, and credit monitoring support.
• Maintain department records, invoicing, and team resources.
• Participate in community outreach and networking efforts that support relationship growth and business development.
• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
