Job summary

Parallel is seeking a privacy lawyer to shape the legal foundation of a fast-growing AI company. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to advise on data collection, retention, consent, and privacy-by-design across the product lifecycle.

You’ll own Parallel’s privacy and data protection program, from policies and DPAs to data mapping and compliance across GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI/state privacy laws.

Qualifications

• ~5+ years privacy, data protection, or product counseling experience.
• Active U.S. bar membership (California preferred).
• Working knowledge of legal frameworks shaping AI products.

Responsibilities

• Advise on data collection, retention, consent, and privacy-by-design across the product lifecycle.
• Own privacy and data protection program: policies, DPAs, data mapping, and compliance across GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI/privacy laws.
• Build templates, playbooks, and self-service tools to scale the function.
