Job summary

Suno is seeking a Privacy Engineering Lead to build Suno's privacy and AI governance from the ground up. You will set the technical direction for data handling, permissions across our platform, models, and agents, and enforce policy at the point of use, while partnering with Legal and Product.

You will hire and grow the privacy engineering team, lead user rights operations, and help ensure retention and deletion workflows.

Qualifications

8-10 years hands-on software engineering experience.
Deep experience in privacy engineering or data governance, including GDPR/CCPA familiarity.
Experience as an engineering manager or Staff+ engineer ready for people management.

Responsibilities

Build the policy foundations for how Suno handles data, permitted uses, and AI, with Legal partnership.
Own data discovery, classification, and permissions mapping across product, analytics, and vendor systems.
Design and operate governance controls across products, data platforms, models, and agents, enforcing consent and data-sharing rules.
Lead verified user rights operations: access, correction, deletion, and consent management, in partnership with Product on self-service tools.
Hire and grow a dedicated privacy engineering team to scale this work.
Help make responsible data handling part of how Suno builds every new model and feature.
