Job summary

Suno, the AI music platform, seeks a Privacy Engineering Lead to build Suno's privacy and AI governance from scratch. You will define data handling policies, govern data across platforms, and scale a privacy engineering team while partnering with Legal and Product.

You will own data discovery, permissions mapping, and governance controls, ensuring consent, access, and data sharing compliance as Suno grows.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years hands-on software engineering experience.
• Deep experience in privacy engineering or data governance (GDPR/CCPA).
• Experience as an engineering manager or Staff+ ready to grow into people management.

Responsibilities

• Build the policy foundations for data handling and AI governance in collaboration with Legal.
• Own data discovery, classification, and permissions mapping across product and analytics systems.
• Design and operate governance controls across products, data platforms, models, and agents.
• Lead verified user rights operations (access, correction, deletion, consent) with Product on self-service tools.
• Hire and grow a dedicated privacy engineering team to scale this work.
• Make responsible data handling part of Suno's model and feature development.
