Job summary

Suno is hiring a Privacy Engineering Lead to build Suno's privacy and AI governance from scratch. You’ll set the technical direction for data handling, permissions, and policy enforcement across the platform, models, and agents.

Partner with Legal and Product while growing an engineering team to scale this critical function. You will lead governance across data platforms, enforce consent, access, and data-sharing rules, and oversee rights operations like deletion and correction, collaborating

Qualifications

• 8-10 years hands-on software engineering with enforcement infra experience.
• Deep privacy engineering or data governance experience incl GDPR/CCPA.
• Engineering manager depth or Staff+ with people-management readiness.

Responsibilities

• Build the policy foundations for data handling and AI in partnership with Legal.
• Own data discovery, classification, and permissions mapping across product and analytics.
• Design and operate governance controls across products, data platforms, models, and agents.
• Lead verified user rights operations including access, correction, deletion, and consent management.
• Hire and grow a dedicated privacy engineering team to scale this work.
• Help make responsible data handling part of every model/feature development.
